When Bad Times Become Our Greatest Teachers

Six years ago, a difficult phase entered my life quietly, and then stayed longer than I ever expected. At that time, I did not realize that those painful moments would slowly become my greatest teachers.

Bad times have a strange way of stripping life down to its bare truth. The comforts we rely on fade, the people we thought would stay sometimes disappear, and suddenly we are left with nothing but ourselves. And in that silence, a powerful lesson begins to unfold learning to stand on our own.

When life becomes difficult, no one can truly walk the journey for us. People may support us, guide us, or offer kind words, but the real work of healing happens within. We must learn to sit with our pain, understand it, and slowly mend our own wounds.

That is what these six years have taught me.

They taught me resilience the quiet strength of getting up even when the heart feels heavy.
They taught me patience, understanding that healing does not happen overnight.
They taught me courage, the courage to face my own fears, truths, and broken pieces.

In this journey, I evolved.

I learned many things about life, about people, and about myself. But more importantly, I had to unlearn many beliefs that once shaped my thinking beliefs about love, expectations, dependence, and control. Some lessons were painful, yet necessary.

Growth is rarely a straight path. Even today, I find myself learning, unlearning, and relearning. Life continues to present new perspectives, new understandings, and deeper awareness.

Looking back now, I do not see those bad times only as suffering. I see them as a transformation.

They taught me how to rely on my inner strength. They taught me that healing begins when we take responsibility for our own wounds. And they taught me that sometimes life breaks us not to destroy us, but to rebuild us into someone wiser and stronger.

Bad times may shake us deeply, but they also awaken something powerful within us the ability to rise, to grow, and to become a better version of ourselves.

And for that lesson, I remain grateful.

I have been into healing since April 1996. I am a perseverant learner and have mastered all levels of Reiki and other modalities including Theta healing, Affirmations, Decrees, NLP& Switch words. I have been teaching Usui Reiki since Jan 2010 and i integrate my healing with Psychology as i firmly believe true and honest communication and understanding of self and others is a essential part of healing. For me healing is journey and not a destination. Self-healing and self-love are everyday rituals of self-care and not as and when we need it.
