When life takes you through trials and hardships, don’t be afraid of the fire.
We often ask, “Why me?”
“Why is life so difficult?”
“When will this end?”
But perhaps some seasons are not meant to break us.
Perhaps they are meant to refine us.
Gold does not become pure without passing through fire.
And sometimes, life becomes our fire.
The disappointments.
The betrayals.
The losses.
The endings.
The moments when everything we believed in seems to fall apart.
They strip away what no longer serves us. They challenge our beliefs, our attachments, our fears and even the version of ourselves we thought we had to remain.
It is not always easy to see the purpose while we are in the middle of the storm.
But stay steadfast.
You don’t have to understand everything right now.
You don’t have to have all the answers.
You only have to keep walking.
Let the experience teach you, but don’t let it harden you.
Let the pain deepen you, but don’t let it define you.
Let the fire burn away what was never truly yours.
And when you finally look back, you may realise that the very trials you once prayed to escape were also shaping you into the person you were meant to become.
The fire was never meant to destroy the gold.
It was meant to reveal its purity.
So, if you are walking through a difficult season today, breathe.
Stay steadfast.
Trust your journey.
This too shall pass.
And you will emerge not untouched, but transformed.
