Stop breaking your own heart trying to make a relationship work when everything is telling you that it no longer can.
You cannot make someone care.
You cannot make someone choose you.
You cannot make someone be loyal, present, or become the person you need them to be.
Sometimes, the person we want the most is the very person we are better off without.
And perhaps that is one of life’s hardest lessons: some things are meant to happen, but they are not meant to stay. Some people enter our lives to teach us, awaken something within us, or change the direction of our journey not necessarily to walk the entire journey with us.
Don’t lose yourself trying to repair something that keeps breaking you.
You cannot receive the relationship you need from someone who is unwilling or unable to give it to you. And sometimes, you may never understand why things had to unfold the way they did not today, perhaps not tomorrow.
But one day, you may look back and realise that what felt like an ending was actually life making space for something you could not yet see.
So don’t put your happiness on hold waiting for someone who isn’t holding on to you.
Choose yourself.
Protect your peace.
Let go of what keeps asking you to abandon yourself.
And remember—not every chapter needs closure. Some chapters simply need to end.
Because sometimes, the closure is not an explanation.
The closure is finally choosing yourself.
