Unlearning

Unlearning is the process of letting go of old beliefs, assumptions, habits, and biases that hinder our personal and professional growth. It involves challenging our existing mental models and replacing them with new ones that are more relevant, adaptive, and effective. Unlearning is not about forgetting what we already know; rather, it is about questioning what we know and being open to new ideas and perspectives. Unlearning is a continuous process that requires humility, curiosity, and willingness to experiment and fail.
We need to always unlearn and relearn and learn to develop the skills, mindset, and resilience to thrive.

Lessons from the Bhagwad Gita

I believe that a human can learn valuable lessons from the Bhagwad Gita. The teachings in the Bhagwad Gita can provide us with guidance and insights on various aspects of life, such as duty, morality, surrender to the divine, and self-realization. These lessons can help navigate challenges, make wise decisions, and find inner peace and purpose. As for my takeaways from the Bhagwad Gita, I have learned the importance of embracing one’s responsibilities without attachment to the outcomes, cultivating a balanced mind amidst adversity, and seeking spiritual growth through self-discipline and devotion.
Additionally, the Bhagwad Gita emphasizes the significance of maintaining equanimity in both success and failure and encourages individuals to act selflessly for the greater good. By incorporating these teachings into one’s life, one can develop a deeper understanding of themselves and their soul journey in the world, ultimately leading to personal growth and fulfilment. This aspect can be used in counselling, especially when the client is only focusing on failure.
The Bhagwad Gita emphasizes the concept of dharma, or one’s duty and moral obligations. By understanding and following this principle, one can gain clarity on their purpose in life and make choices that align with their values. Additionally, the teachings of the Bhagwad Gita can inspire one to develop a strong sense of self-awareness and strive for personal growth. Overall, the wisdom found in this ancient text has the potential to greatly impact the human soul’s journey toward fulfilment and enlightenment. The lesson here is that there are challenges, but we need to understand how we can convert these into opportunities for personal growth.
Furthermore, the Bhagwad Gita encourages one to cultivate a sense of detachment from material possessions and outcomes, allowing one to cultivate a sense of contentment and freedom from attachment, also allowing one to focus on the present moment and make decisions without being driven by desires or fears. This detachment can help navigate challenges and setbacks with resilience and equanimity.

Ultimately, by incorporating the teachings of the Bhagwad Gita into one’s life, one can find a sense of purpose, inner peace, and fulfilment Just do your best to your knowing and don’t attach yourself to the results can reduce emotional and mental pain and agony.

By following the principles of the Bhagwad Gita, one can also develop a deeper understanding of their own identity and the interconnectedness of all beings. This realization can lead to a greater sense of compassion and empathy towards self and others, enhancing relationships and overall well-being. Also, the teachings of the Bhagwad Gita emphasize the importance of self-discipline and self-mastery, empowering one to overcome their limitations and achieve personal growth.
We all are on our soul journey, we should see each other as souls then only we are truly detached from our pain, fear and temporary joys. Instead don’t live in the past or the future, just focus on the now and be truly happy for the now.

Now

The lesson i learnt in my most difficult phase of my life is one day at a time, one hour at a time, and maybe one minute at a time. Don’t look back. Don’t look ahead. Just stay in that one minute, stay in now. And in that one minute, you have to stay strong, sane, and healthy to get through the tough times and keep reminding yourself that this too shall pass.

Emotions

The constructivist approach to emotions has profound implications, especially for those high in emotional intelligence. When we view emotions as discrete, unchangeable categories, we limit our ability to understand and manage them. However, seeing emotions as constructions as mixtures that we can influence and adjust empowers us. It suggests that we are not at the mercy of our emotions but rather can shape and refine them.

Emotional intelligence, therefore, is not just about recognizing and labelling emotions accurately. It’s about understanding the ‘recipe behind each emotional experience and knowing how to alter the ingredients to create a more desirable outcome. This capability is crucial in personal development, leadership, and interpersonal relationships. It allows emotionally intelligent individuals to be more influential, in control, and present in their interactions.

The ‘cake baking’ rule of emotions underscores a vital truth: our emotional world is malleable. By mastering the art of mixing and balancing our emotional ingredients, we can craft a more fulfilling and controlled emotional life. This perspective not only enriches our understanding of emotions but also opens up new avenues for personal growth and effectiveness.

Transformation

Your previous experiences of difficulties and emotional distress are currently being eliminated from your energy. If you are worried about how to progress in the future, understand that having a strong desire and openness to change is sufficient, and the Universe will handle the remaining aspects on your behalf.

Currently, you have the opportunity to transform something that seems undesirable into something highly valuable, akin to the process of alchemy. In your own situation, this transformation involves improving your physical well-being, financial prosperity, and establishing meaningful relationships with others.

We have the power

Once we acknowledge that our inherent essence is to exist in a state of harmony, which is our inherent entitlement, we, as physical beings, own the inherent entitlement to exist in our authentic essence, to encounter profound joy, and to feel harmony and satisfaction. Consequently, our perception of the universe undergoes a significant transformation, as we now possess authority and control. We still have power.

Power of Dreams by Jesse Lyon

Whenever we are visited by someone in our dreams, we need to consider the literal meaning, but then go deeper to think about how that person in our dreams is teaching us to connect with a new character that lives inside us. — JESSE LYON, LMHC, LYON COUNSELING “

“By learning to understand and accept all of the different characters that live inside of us, we become more complete as a person and can then love others with greater empathy and understanding,” Lyon says.

It is important to remember that dream interpretation is highly personal. The specific meaning of someone appearing in a dream depends on factors that are unique to you. Examining your dreams and trying to understand their meanings, both literal and symbolic, can give you greater insights into your own thoughts, emotions, and relationships.

“That’s the power of dreams! To help us grow and understand ourselves in ways that we could never do while awake and, from these insights, find peace within ourselves and carry that peace to others,” Lyon says.

Living in the Now not in the Future

Living in the now is so important, Part of what can fuel existential dread is fixating on the past and future, which can lead to feeling like nothing will ever get better. When we come back to the present, we can feel those negative sensations subside. Let’s be positive, mindful, and happy with what is with us now and where we are now rather than thinking where will I be in the next 2 or 3 years, which causes anxiety. We can make plans but not be so rigid with it.

Does anyone know what will happen with us, even though we have a daily planner. Some things just happen , which are not in our control, but we humans are always trying to be in control of everything in our lives. Why don’t we let go , Let God. Surrender to the divine. Have faith in the process, in the plan of the universe. Keep doing your karma the right thing. Have no attachments to the results. Have patience . The plan of life will unfold in the divine timing.

Stop breaking your heart

Stop breaking your own heart by trying to make a relationship work that clearly isn’t meant to work. You can’t force someone to care about you. You can’t force someone to be loyal. You can’t force someone to be the person you need them to be.

Sometimes the person you want most is the person you’re best without. You got to understand some things are meant to happen, but just not meant to be. Some things are meant to come in your life, just not meant to stay.

Don’t lose yourself by trying to fix what’s meant to stay broken. You can’t get the relationship you need from someone who’s not ready to give it you . And you might not understand WHY NOW, but I promise you your future will always bring understanding of why things didn’t work out. TRUST ME. Don’t put your happiness on hold for someone who isn’t holding on to you.
Some chapters just have to close without closure. Straight up.
